Peter GreenAustralian referees are continuing to develop their skills – and reputations – at an international level, with a number of local match officials being selected for international appointments.

As reported recently, five Australian referees have been chosen to officiate at the 2012 London Olympic Games Football Tournament.

Sarah Ho, Allyson Flynn, Ben Williams, Matthew Cream and Hakan Anaz were selected by a FIFA selection panel to become a major part of the 15-strong delegation of AFC referees.

Following this announcement, Ben Williams has also been placed on the Prospective Referee List for FIFA 2014 World Cup Brazil, with Peter Green added to the reserve list.

Green will also referee the FIFA World Cup Brazil Round 4 Qualifier between IR Iran vs. Qatar.

Elsewhere, Green and Brad Hobson will officiate the AFC Champions League game between Al Jazira and Nasaf, while Strebre Delovski, Matthew Cream and Hakan Anaz will run the match between Buriram United and Guangzhou Evergrande.
